CA hosts a variety of weekly social, cultural, and community-service events (see below). Each year, CA also presents an annual production known as Culture Night which showcases the broad regional diversity of Chinese culture through different Chinese ethnic dances, skits, martial arts, and other displays of customs.

We also host an annual High School Outreach (HSO) Program that caters to educating and encouraging first-generation high school students to pursue higher education.

Additionally, we have an annual week-long Ski Trip to South Lake Tahoe every year to celebrate the end of fall quarter. Being one of the most popular events of the year, this event aims to strengthen the bond between CAUCI members through skiing and snowboarding, shopping downtown, and bonding in a cozy luxury cabin.

CA holds weekly general meetings at 7PM on Zoom every Thursday (link to Zoom meetings are accessible through the weekly facebook event pages for afterevents – FB event pages can be found within the CA Facebook Group). All general meetings are followed by afterevents that change every week and typically conclude around 9-10PM.

Membership fee for new members is $15 & returning members is $12, this covers membership for the whole year. If you would like to have your membership benefits shipped to you, it is an additional $5. Fees may be paid to the CA Treasurer by venmo-ing @CAUCI with the description “Membership Dues”.
If you are unable to pay using venmo, please contact ca.treasurer@gmail.com.
Membership Benefits:
CA is one of the largest social organizations on campus with an average of over 300 members. Our family system allows for smaller groups of people to get to know each other and hangout. We hope the family system fosters lasting relationships that continue outside CA and extend beyond your time at UCI.
Families are sorted anonymously based on submitted responses to the questions on section 2 of the Online Blue Card. If you already have a big in mind, you may preference them on the Online Blue Card form.
Make sure to sign up for our weekly newsletter by emailing ca.secretary@gmail.com with the subject line “Subscribe to Newsletter”. For more day-to-day updates, join our Facebook group. You can also like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram.
Big 5 consists of Chinese cultural organizations from UCLA, UCSD, UCR, USC, and UCI. Every year, CA participates in the Chinese Heritage Festival with all of Big 5.
