Membership FAQ

What kind of events are hosted by CA?

CA hosts a variety of weekly social, cultural, and community-service events (see below). Each year, CA also presents an annual production known as Culture Night which showcases the broad regional diversity of Chinese culture through different Chinese ethnic dances, skits, martial arts, and other displays of customs.

          For more information, please contact

          ca.culturenight@gmail.com.

We also host an annual High School Outreach (HSO) Program that caters to educating and encouraging first-generation high school students to pursue higher education.

          For more information, please contact

          ca.communityoutreach@gmail.com.

Additionally, we have an annual week-long Ski Trip to South Lake Tahoe every year to celebrate the end of fall quarter. Being one of the most popular events of the year, this event aims to strengthen the bond between CAUCI members through skiing and snowboarding, shopping downtown, and bonding in a cozy luxury cabin.

          For more information, please contact

          ca.president@gmail.com.

  • NOTE: Due to COVID-19, our Ski Trip this year is cancelled. Instead, we are planning on having a retreat during spring break, so keep an eye out! We sincerely apologize about this, but if you are still interested in attending our annual Ski Trip, please check back in with CA as a general member next year!

What are weekly after events?

CA holds weekly general meetings at 7PM on Zoom every Thursday (link to Zoom meetings are accessible through the weekly facebook event pages for afterevents – FB event pages can be found within the CA Facebook Group). All general meetings are followed by afterevents that change every week and typically conclude around 9-10PM.
